Today marks what would have been Ann Dvorak’s 101st birthday. Fire up the media player of your choice, turn on an Ann movie, and celebrate the life and career of this amazing actress.
Thanks for the reminder – and am getting out a copy of one of my favorite Ann Dvorak movies: Out of the Blue (1947). It’s simply hilarious!!!!
And “Out of the Blue” has one of her best lines. “Not too much [to drink], or I couldn’t say ‘periodically.'”
Happy Birthday Ann!! I will have to watch my favourite of all her films ‘Three On a Match’ to mark it.
