However, the first studio to sign a deal with Ann was Metro Goldwyn Mayer.<\/p>\n<p>Ann was an unfashionable, but spunky teenager when she showed up at MGM&#8217;s fabled studio gates, hoping to land a gig in the chorus for\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.anndvorak.com\/cms\/Filmography\/?directory=Hollywood%20Revue%20of%201929%20(1929)\"><strong>The Hollywood Revue of 1929<\/strong><\/a>.
